The web was, is, and can be more than just a handful of American platforms controlling the public narrative.

That’s the beauty of interoperable standards and open protocols on a global network.

Grab some cheap hosting, spin up a site, drop your thoughts for others to read and share.

1. Show up. Go to the places Musk is taking over, bring cameras, demand to find out what's going on and where it breaks the law.
2. Refuse to allow standard business to continue unimpeded. Deny unanimous consent, delay votes, etc.
3. Be public about how illegal all of this is
4. Lay out a plan

Canada’s identity is “we’re not American” and it’s going to be on full display over the next while.

Among the many avenues Democrats need to be pushing *now* is:

Trump, Musk, and their Republican enablers just compromised the personal and financial info of every American.

This isn't hyperbole; it already happened. They broke all the cybersecurity protocols and are concealing what they're doing.
Several conversations today w people in the key executive departments. And while the particulars are hard to pin down my impression is that the Musk take over stuff is considerably worse than is being presented in the press. By this I don’t necessarily things they *done* yet but the level of …

Ford didn’t have a “mandate” to announce his US booze ban, so why is he saying the election is to give him one? His translucent excuse offers us a way to look back on his six years of doing dubious things without a “mandate”.
My @thestar.com column.
Shawn Micallef: Doug Ford hasn’t needed a mandate to make major changes in Toronto. So why does he need one for Donald Trump?
By framing his election call in terms of needing a mandate, Premier Doug Ford invites us to look back on all that he’s done to the city without such a mandate.

What’s happening in the US is a warning to the rest of the world.

This is what happens when the threat of right wing extremism isn’t taken seriously.

Put aside the fringe concerns. Push back. Keep the fascists down. Don’t give them an inch.

Unite and fight.

Trump’s comments about Canada, Panama and Mexico are steps towards the formalization of our countries as American vassal states.

Our national trade and national defence are 💯 dependent on American playing the “big brother” role. But that’s based on established norms.

Norms don’t matter anymore.

“The only solution is to diversify our economy, reduce our dependency and external vulnerability to the US, and solve pressing challenges of inequality, environmental decline, lack of affordable housing, and threats to our public services.”

A family in Kenora traveled 1,700 km to London because there were no pediatric ICU beds in northern hospitals. Meanwhile, their Premier wants them to pay $400 for a luxury spa in downtown Toronto. That’s the Cost of Doug—and like you, I’m ready to cut it. For good.
A family in Sudbury is paying $400 to build a luxury spa in downtown Toronto. That's the Cost of Doug, and it’s been the same pattern all year long. Things have got to change in this province, and fast.

The Luigi perp walk and court theatrics are a scramble to keep the masses in line.

“Don’t get any ideas.”

Meanwhile you have execs lining up to kiss Musk’s ring; more school shootings; and a goon on the throne musing about taking over Mexico and Canada.

Ontario was building more homes in the 1950s than it is now. Doug Ford’s priorities? Spas, scandals, and insiders.
