My prediction is that the administration will ultimately pay the military, ICE, and other favored employees without a budget deal. Sure, this violates the Anti-deficiency Act, but DoJ wont enforce it. And even if they could obtain standing, who would file suit to stop paying the military?

Uh oh, MAGA is running desperately low on grievance fuel. Now just repeating escalator complaints. Hopefully some corporation will change its logo or include a black or LGBTQ person in a TV commercial. Has anyone checked which titles the Dr. Seuss people are publishing these days?

It's genuinely exciting that Sinclair has decided to make themselves visible.
This just in from Sinclair: "Beginning Tuesday night Sinclair will be preempting 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' across our ABC affiliate stations and replacing it with news programming. Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show's potential return."

NFL should ban the rush push because it’s boring and terrible TV

Every district and appellate court should be ignoring SCOTUS rulings. SCOTUS, the 5th Circuit, Aileen Cannon, and the other anti-democracy judges ignore precedent. We can play this game too.

John Roberts’ legacy will be the Chief Justice who ended democracy.

Absurd and nakedly partisan. All of these voters had to show id to vote. And it only applies to this election, not the others (including Trump vs Harris) on the same ballot. And, finally, it applies only to 4 Democratic leaning counties, not rural voters with same defects in their registration.
NC Court of Appeals gives over 60,000 challenged voters 15 days to prove eligibility
The majority wrote that, even though they have the authority to completely throw out the contested ballots, they decided to instead mandate a cure period for most of the challenged voters.

So impressed with the way Wired is covering musk’s brazenly illegal and corrupt takeover of the US Government. I just ponied up $10 for the annual subscription. Much cheaper and better coverage than NYT or WaPo. #Wired #NYT #WashingtonPost

DOGE’s Website Is Just One Big X Ad
The source code for the new Department of Government Efficiency’s “official US government website” points to X as its primary source of authority, while sharing links to the site sends users to x.com.

So here’s an interesting if not entirely predictable fact. The team with the wealthier athletic department won every single college football playoff game. Unchecked greed, realignment, NIL, and the transfer portal have officially ruined the sport.

1/ The athletic department with the highest revenue won the first 6 CFP games. The Sugar Bowl is a wash. UGa & Notre Dame are both in the top 5 (ND isn’t included in public data but is reported to be @ $224M).
