Put another way, we could get rid of corn ethanol, switch 30% of the freed-up farmland to solar to generate 100% of US electricity, and use the other 70% of the freed-up land for whatever we want.

I am very taken with this argument, but I'm not sure anyone is ready for it - teach without LLMs and push heavily for LLMs in practical work but let the companies do most of the heavy lifting

The obvious counter is that it's stepping away, but unis will still have to embrace AI for research

Labour have secured a record breaking 8.4GW of additional offshore wind capacity.

The auction is the biggest in European history, with long term prices secured at about 20% lower than the maximum.

The sites, off England, Scotland and Wales, are enough to power 12 million homes!

In my opinion this is the way that *all* self-driving vehicles will go: owned by a service provider (public or private) and called on demand. Nice to see that this organisation has side-stepoed the awkward 'passengers not closing the door' issue encountered by Waymo.
In Sweden, self-driving electric buses are transforming daily life in remote villages. These compact, driverless shuttles now connect smaller communities to nearby town centers, offering elderly residents a safe, free, and reliable way to stay mobile and independent #ElectricVehicles #PublicTransport

We shouldn’t have to vote tactically to stop someone else. We shouldn’t have to choose the least bad option. Democracy should give us the freedom to vote for what we actually support – and the confidence that our vote will count wherever we live. buff.ly/SRgOk8K
