Metamodernism must not devolve into moral relativism. "Lines must be drawn, and defended. If that’s not in your [philosophy], then there’s no conversation to be had, and we will see you, ultimately, on the battlefield. " www.writeinstone.com/blog/post/me...

Friday Night Lights is making the exact same mistake The OC made when the nerdy kid decides to go for the hot popular girl instead of his nerdy soulmate. I'm actually upset that Landry chose Tyra over Nerdy Glasses Girl.

Putting the first season of Friday Night Lights up there with the first season of The OC in that teen soap genre.

The internet didn't evolve; it was evolved by moneyed interests. Even bsky stole a future from us. In a world without greed, we could've had community.

I can't suspend my disbelief enough about the incredible violence that Mizu takes in Blue Eye Samurai. She's the Black Knight in Monty Python. She's Arya Stark post-S5

Oh right, like Christine Blasey Ford did? Or E. Jean Carroll did? Did that count with you?
Graham: The allegations against Hegseth are all anonymous sources. I’m not going to make any decision based on an anonymous source. If you are not willing to raise your hand under oath to make the accusation, it doesn't count.

People were as of earlier today still coming to the National Assembly. Strangely few people out by the traditional protest meeting space (Yi Sun-shin's statue near the US embassy)

everyone's saying there's gotta be some kind of Glee reboot/revival now that Wicked has activated theater kids

I know Lea Michelle has been super cancelled and Dianna Agron hasn't made any noise since Glee but I just love this mashup so much

Vivienne, Cassandra, and Sera were all such fully realized individuals in DA: Inquisition. People hated them because of that I think; they just wanted a femme fatale or a flatly portrayed goody two-shoes YA companion. They were people with their own political views and personalities.
Personally, my favorite response of hers is where she gets mocked for loving romance and she comes back with a retort about how it's a strength - how loving something and striving for the ideal takes courage. To me, that's central to her core.
