NEW: Nutrient Dilution (ND)—the decline in the essential elements in plants that feed the rest of the ecosystem—has been implicated in widespread insect declines. Dr. Ellen Welti and I explored just how much nutrient variation herbivores encounter in a tallgrass prairie.
