Trump and his administration are America's impacted bowel.

I will not explain further.

So true. My parents were republican and I grew up listening to Rush Limbaugh in my dad's work van every day during the summer when I worked with him. A lot of the talking points being spread by the Trump admin today are thirty-years old and the place they sit in in Rep's brain is deeply worn

Short staffing, bad schedules, and low take-home pay are affecting Starbucks baristas across the country.

Baristas in St Paul, MN spoke up to deliver a message to CEO Brian Niccol - the time for you to get back to work with us on fair union contracts is NOW!

Pedro Pascal's existence is the strongest evidence that we live in a simulated reality. Only it's not created by an AI, it's created by a horny, bisexual librarian from the mid-west.

Why are ventriloquists limiting themselves to comedy? Why not drama? Why not bring new life to classical oration? You can do it, I believe in you, and your dummy!

This seems very bad.

An important thing to remember. It's true about Medicaid, it's true about reproductive health, and it's true about trans healthcare.

I think I'm rehabilitated and have left my debate-me-bro ways behind me, then my mother tells me I shouldn't drink diet-coke because of the toxins and suddenly it's 2004 and I'm talking to a young-earth creationist again!

Cats have the right idea-- I've been sitting on a heating-pad all day and my bones feel like they're made of jello!

Paisley says Trump's anti-trans executive orders are destroying gov's ability to do it's job, and that's largely true. They're also being used to expand executive and remove federalist barriers to executive power.

Donald Trump’s War on Gender Is Also a War on Government
By forcing rigid definitions of sex across all federal agencies, Republicans are undermining the administrative state’s capacity to protect public health and safety.

I'm always so split on this topic. It is both true that educational institutions are used as gatekeepers for who deserves to lead a middle-class life, and also true that higher education is (or ought to be) about the cultivate of the person's mind and spirit and everyone from every class deserves it

Papal brassiere cosplay… it’s been a bit of a ‘thing’ in the online catsphere. I’d limit my cats’ access to unsupervised internet activities.

A lot of my colleagues and profs are really worried about AI in part because it robs them of an educational tool they rely on-- the medium length essay. It's nice to see another educator who realizes there's a way around that so long as you expand your tool-box of assignments!
I got the best teaching evals of my career for a large course last semester— along with three teaching awards— after rebuilding my intro class around in-class handwritten essays. I simply do not believe that this is unsolvable or that students don't care about actually learning to do their work.
In only two years, ChatGPT has unraveled the entire academic project.
