As of today, the government shutdown is the longest in U.S. history. While thousands of Americans struggle, Republicans are:

-Confirming anti-environmental judges
-Greenlighting projects that exclusively help polluting industries
-Using arcane procedures to overturn protections on our public lands

The Republican playbook as of late:

1) Sell out public lands by passing Trump's big, ugly budget bill.
2) Cause a government shutdown.
3) Use antiquated legislative procedures to put even more public lands at risk.
4) Do all of this instead of prioritizing funding the government.
BREAKING: Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) is forcing a vote to open ecologically sensitive public lands in the Western Arctic to harmful oil and gas drilling— these lands support subsistence activities for Alaska Native people and provide important wildlife habitat.
