I think one thing folks could do with remembering while debating which part of the sky is falling in EDH is that the Panel is working as intended.
It is providing community engagement and soliciting feedback on ideas. Does that mean they'll be implemented? Not necessarily.

Looking at Scryfall there’s about 450 hybrid cards that could be affected by a rules change and like 10 of them could MAYBE fall into being generically playable
