This book is a love letter to my hometown, a memorial for my brother, a treatise for a better America, and a lot of things in between.

The roads I've taken have had tragic endings, but some have led to auspicious new beginnings, and I wouldn’t be here with out you.

Hey, so has anybody else been thinking about 2028? Specifically the part where Trump refuses to leave office and the only way to remove him is through a military coup bringing us perilously close to a second civil war? Or is that just me?

After Pat Tillman inspired this writer to enlist, he discovered his own family legacy
In his new memoir, “Roadside,” Iraq veteran Dylan Park-Pettiford tells the unlikely story of his decision to enlist in the military. Or at least, he thought it was an unlikely story.

I stumbled upon @angryasianman.bsky.social + @originalsp.in when COVID hit over here and after the Atlanta spa shooting while I was searching for a better sense of community online as an Asian American.

So I squealed w/glee when I suddenly saw a friendly face pop up on the podcast. 🖤 @dylanpark.com

Took a few well-deserved days off from my corporate job and spent yesterday doing nothing but lazing in the blazing Phoenix sun by a pool with a cocktail and @dylanpark.com’s book… which I started and already finished.

As I told him: I chuckled, I laughed, and then I cried. 10/10 recommend.

It’s incredible what human beings are capable of, yet we’ve spent a majority of our history killing each other over arbitrary lines on maps, imaginary deities, shiny rocks buried in the ground, and skin pigmentation.

End the wars. All of them.

My dead friend’s father is promoting my book to all his MAGA buddies like it’s gonna be some star-spangled red, white, and blue American war machine propaganda.

He’s probably gonna hate the part where I said the war in Iraq was illegal and his son died for no reason.

Just arrived three weeks earlier than expected!

My wife got the box and asked if I ordered a book and I said no. Then I asked who the author was and I yelled, Fuck Yeah I have something to read now!
