The second paper of my PhD came out in @methodsinecoevol.bsky.social:

We assessed approaches for meta-analyses with dependent effect sizes and sampling errors 🔍 doi.org/10.1111/2041...

This is especially relevant for ecologists and evolutionary biologists planning to conduct a meta-analysis.
Modelling approaches for meta‐analyses with dependent effect sizes in ecology and evolution: A simulation study
In ecology and evolution, meta-analysis is an important tool to synthesise findings across separate studies and identify sources of heterogeneity. However, ecological and evolutionary data often e...

Absolutely yes. And I'm proud that @asn-amnat.bsky.social has led the way on this with requiring code and data editors checking code for about five years now!
Stop treating code like an afterthought: record, share and value it
Scientists, research institutions, funders, libraries and publishers must all improve software practices.

Excited to see this effort to bridge R and Word get a second chance! Reproducible writing, especially with coauthors that aren't code savvy is challenging. Btw, my vote is for redocx, 😁

Today, the UN officially designated Israel’s assault on Gaza as a genocide.

As a party to the Genocide Convention, the U.S. has a legal obligation to obey our own laws, stop weapons sales to Israel, and demand a permanent ceasefire.

End the genocide. Ceasefire now.
