People are incredibly complex:

Take me for example

I was identified as a "gifted" person around 2nd grade.

Guess how many teachers ever saw my full skill set on display?

About 10%...

I suspect this is true of most children:

They don't feel related to, so they don't show up 100% cognitively!

My family and I were playing this game we just purchased called, "The Dog's Best Friend." I was skeptical that it might just be a gimmick, but we had a lot of fun and probably burned a few extra calories.

The flame IS intrinsic motivation. The flame is a product of the environment. We cultivate the flame when we support autonomy, belonging, and competence throughout the school day, and move away from traditional notions of rewards and punishments. youtu.be/id2EoacnA0M

I'm talking about engagement and motivation from the perspective of an educator, but this applies to community organizers, political leaders, and probably all humans... We can engage one another when we support autonomy, belonging, and competence.
HOW DO YOU TRIGGER INTRINSIC MOTIVATION?!!

At Councilman Conways campaign launch in congressional primary. Great to meet him in person and get a pulse on his vibes. He’s a chill dude, who I sincerely believe wants to represent all of Baltimore. I could tell he was present with me & you don't always feel that way talking to elected officials.

Sometimes Autism looks like when you are having a great morning and really enjoying yourself in Mexico City but your face looks like this. That's contentedness...lol

People called me arrogant, cold, annoying, childish, awkward, clueless, sensitive, and weird throughout my life. Thanks to my autism diagnosis I've learned that I am actually confident, principled, independent, analytical, outspoken, curious, authentic, reflective, compassionate, and unconventional.

The Tech Industry is also coming for education. As a teacher, I am frightened at how much they've disrupted education for the worse. Districts continue to spend more and more on technology that harms students. The goal of EdTech is to replace as many humans as possible with their product. FUCK THEM.
The 6 Myths of EdTech - The Screentime Consultant
Emily Cherkin's new essay debunks 6 myths about EdTech, arguing it's bad for learning, teachers, and equity. She urges parents to fight back.

All of these sideshows: the destruction of the White House, the lack of due process in the waters of the Caribbean, the fake peace deals, the openly corrupt pardons; and all of the other manufactured distractions are to make us forget THAT THEY MUST RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES - WE WANT JUSTICE

Enough is enough. Adelita Grijalva was elected on September 23. The people of Arizona have a right to be represented in Congress.

During today’s pro forma session, when the House is called to order I will seek unanimous consent to insist upon the swearing-in of Adelita Grijalva.

I am so excited that @repkweisimfume.bsky.social has a primary challenger! Councilman Mark Conway has shown a willingness to butt heads with party leaders and challenge the status quo. #MarkConwayForCongress!!! ...If Conway openly denounces #AIPAC, HE WILL WIN #Baltimore @mddems.bsky.social

We have a president that hates the main principles that the United States was founded upon.

We have a president that hates the majority of the citizens of the U.S.

We have a president that is waging war against me and against you!

My autism doesn't need to be treated with any medications. All I need is for people to understand that social interactions are a bit confusing and tiring; sensory input from the environment can overwhelm my cognition; and that I am actually a really nice person who is frequently misunderstood.

Clinton moved the Democrats to the middle; Democrats abandoned the poor and working class in favor of Wall Street; Democrats virtue signal over identity politics while the middle class and working poor rot; Democrats lose elections; Fascists take over; Democrats blame poor people for not backing'em.
