Movie lover (sometimes). Lover of (almost) all dogs. Casual psychedelic dabbler. Ex-nanny (Even though I never liked kids). Atheist raised by loving Christians that I admire.

Blue heart stuck in a red state.
It turns out my “pretty good” coconut curry has been missing coriander this whole time.

Damn. That was good.

I think there’s too much corruption for Trump to be taken down by truth or laws. His party is too willing to rig elections and election laws for him. His cult doesn’t care.

If anything, he’ll go down like the 1 ring. The evil is so powerful that some Gollum figure will accidentally destroy him.

I was not expecting to hate One Battle After Another w/ every fiber of my being.

It felt like the aborted fetus of a Wes Anderson script got scraped out of a dumpster and resurrected by a different Anderson.

The whole movie was too silly and had nothing interesting to say or show.

Booooooo!!!

Steven Kostanski’s Deathstalker remake was good, cheap fun. It was pretty much everything I expected.

I was appropriately not sober. I’ll watch it again ……not sober.

@pattonoswalt.bsky.social was a nice addition.

The first Conjuring film is one of the best horror movies I’ve seen, despite being loosely based on scumbag grifters Ed and Lorraine Warren.

The sequels are haunted 😜 by the ghost of diminishing returns.

The 3rd and 4th entries lack good writing, acting, and style.

They’re frankly boring.

I usually give shows a 3 episode shot, but 1 episode of IT: Welcome To Derry will be plenty.

That was just crap from beginning to end. I can’t think of anything good to say about it.

After seeing the new Frankenstein, I remain convinced that the best performance as The Monster is still from Rory Kinnear in Penny Dreadful and the best performance as the mad doctor goes to Gene Wilder.

Pros and Cons of making lasagna and garlic bread from scratch.

Cons : It takes like half a feckin day.

Pros: You end up with lasagna and garlic bread……. and probably enough lasagna for 2 extra days.

Someone who brags about passing a dementia test and compares it to an IQ test probably doesn’t have a very high IQ and likely didn’t pass the dementia test w/ flying colors.

The most impressive thing about that turd is his magical power when it comes to healing cartilage blasted off an ear.

When you knock back a beat smoothie right before leaving the house to do a 2 hour massage.

Unless it’s Scarlett Johansson in a leather suit, I’ll never be happy about seeing a black widow right outside my door.

Damnit. I made my own garlic bread from scratch. It was pretty good.

But now I know how to make garlic bread whenever I want it. This is dangerous.

I was 14 when he died and I have once again been reminded that I friggin miss John Candy.

There wasn’t a big climax full of action , but I thought the season 2 finale of Peacemaker succeeded in its goals.

It set up season 3 and brought our characters closer to their individual and collective destinies.

I enjoyed it.

Cena can act and Danielle Brooks has become the show’s backbone.

One thing that works so well in the 80’s remake of The Blob is that it’s super mean without being obnoxiously cruel.

It’s organically mean because the blob wouldn’t care who it ate.

Good stuff.

I like to make a pitcher of limeade sweetened with honey and dump in a can of Thai coconut milk.

Caught Stealing does a lot and pretty much none of it is worth applause. Most of the characters are dull. Most of the choices either left a bad taste in my mouth or nearly threw my shoulders out from all the shrugging.

It’s not fun, tense, fresh, or witty. It’s just loud, dumb, and mean.

I need to practice scoring , but my 3rd try at sourdough is delicious and has amazing texture. I ate about 1/3 of the loaf with butter and cream cheese.

After a 3rd theatrical version, I’m convinced that nobody can make me like The Fantastic Four. I guess “Not awful” is the best I can get.

I didn’t hate any of it. I didn’t like any of it. Everyone left their charisma at home.

Pretty dull.

I’m almost glad Trump clearly embarrasses us on the world stage. We can’t be the only ones that know how fucked we are.

After 7 episodes, I think I’d like Alien:Earth a lot more if I liked the story, dialogue, characters, acting, visuals, and music.

My second sourdough attempt still didn’t rise enough , but it rose more than the last time. I still haven’t found the perfect spot in the house for proofing.

Either way, delicious.

I don’t even like Kimmel, but FUCK ABC and Disney. If it’s made by Disney, I’m only gonna pirate that shit like wi-fi Jack Sparrow.
