I'm a writer, author, joke teller, career coach and accessibility advocate, but overall, I'm a purveyor of random verbiage.

I'm still looking for disabled voices, stories, etc. to include in my book, "Crippled Careers: Navigating the Workplace with a Disability." If you identify as disabled, chronically ill or neurodivergent, I'd love to chat with you about your experiences navigating the workplace.
For anyone else who also missed seeing the Northern Lights, I have you covered and they are as beautiful as we could have possibly imagined. #NorthernLights #Auroraborealis

I want to assure you that I haven't used artificial intelligence to write any of my posts. In fact, many would argue I haven't used any intelligence at all.

The best strategy to deal with Canadian winter is a combination of flannel, denial and therapy.

Law and Order: Cold Cut Cases
VOICEOVER: in the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate, yet entirely opposite, groups: the police, who are afraid of sandwiches, and sandwich wielders, armed with food consisting of two pieces of bread filled with meat, cheese, and vegetables. these are their stories.

If you ever feel like you're bad at your job, consider that at the time of the Louvre heist, the password for the Louvre's video security system was simply "Louvre."

It's amazing that the Louvre heist took only seven minutes when it takes longer than that for me to open a produce bag.

This is a ham but it'd be a shame if someone put an S and an E next to it.

Amazon Web Services went down today because the little mouse that runs on the hamster wheel that keeps the internet running decided to go on a coffee break.

Do you find yourself working beyond 9 to 5, succumbing to the "let me just do one more thing and then I'll stop working" mentality? In my latest piece for @theglobeandmail.com careers section, I explore the subtle trend of "quiet overworking"

The scene in Something's Gotta Give where Diane Keaton sobs uncontrollably is such a memorable moment for how it masterfully blends together grief with comedy. Diane Keaton lets loose and it's precisely how I feel right now after learning of her passing.

Not only do I overthink but I also think about overthinking, I overthink overthinking, I think about overthinking overthinking, and I overthink overthinking overthinking.

Few people changed how we see the natural world like famed zoologist Dr. Jane Goodall. She revealed the humanity in chimpanzees and fought tirelessly for the planet. RIP to a true pioneer.

It's crazy how the Republicans can link Tylenol to autism with no evidence but they can't associate guns with mass shootings despite a mountain of evidence.

Happy first day of Fall! This is your friendly autumn reminder that I'm still looking for work in the areas of writing/content marketing/PR/comms, accessibility, career coaching and education. If squirrels can find work stashing acorns this fall, surely I can land something too.

Let's be clear that the story isn't ABC suspending Jimmy Kimmel because he made jokes about Charlie Kirk but because Trump's FCC chair threatened to revoke their license and ABC affiliate Nexstar feared it would jeopardize FCC approval for their $6.2B acquisition of Tegna.

When my grandma took me to see The Green Mile, we ended up seeing Graham Greene in the cinema and went for coffee with him. In a way, he brought my grandma and I closer together. I'm resharing this story as a tribute to a wonderful actor and human being. humanparts.medium.com/a-chance-enc...

Urgent #JournoRequest: I'm still – and somewhat urgently – looking for Canadian remote workers who have experienced "quiet overworking." If you find yourself subtly working beyond the 9 to 5 because of how easy it is to continue working when you work from home, please reach out!
