We deserve better
I'm grateful to have the support of neighbors in every part of this city, people who are ready for leadership that reflects our shared values.

I hope you'll rank me first for Mayor of Minneapolis on November 4 because we deserve better.

Hubert Humphrey would be played by Bradley Whitford if he had a biopic.

In 2021, someone pointed out to me that not trusting someone cause they “just got here” is just another way of saying “I don’t trust renters”.
When I moved to Minneapolis in the mid-aughts, it was really difficult to make friends. People from other states didn’t get it.

Now the bias is front and center in my city politics. If I’m a resident who “just got here,” do I matter less to Josh?

Yes, Kristi Noem is in the Twin Cities at Fort Snelling giving a speech regarding ICE today. This is public knowledge.
We do not know at this time what that means or the specifics of why she is here.

Please do not for the love of god share vague information about this right now.

Keep an eye out!!!
Can y’all please be on the lookout for my bike? Last seen in Elliot Park. It is a black Biria bike with red pedals and stickers of local news orgs on the bottom tube. It also has a Brooks saddle and adapters for Wolf Tooth pogies on the handlebars.

If minions could door knock, we could secure the overly online boomers in a heartbeat

What if instead of banning all these things that supposedly cause autism, we start banning plants that cause seasonal allergies?
If it ain’t environmentally sustainable, get it outta here!

I have a lot of pun Halloween costumes I’m not doing, so here’s a list for yall to use. It will continue in the comments.
First, wear a fake muscle tee and have a scooter on your back— Scooter Braun.

If anyone ever questions if I love my sister, know that I drove out to Shakopee to hang out with her.
I went to the suburbs for her.
That’s love.

Great time to support a candidate who lives where they are running 🥰
I’m a full-time Southsider and rep.

Today’s a good day to donate to my campaign— we are focused on the issues of Ward 12 and the City— and we championing a powerful program to get progressives elected up and down the municipal ticket. Chip in $50 today:

What are people hearing for side effects for Covid/flu vaccines this year? How statistically likely is it to kick my ass? Where can I reliably learn more info now that the CDC is overseen by a certified clown?

At Rilo Kiley.
Have run into 3 coworkers, someone I was in a bridal party with, a kindergarten friend I recently reconnected with, and about 14 different people that look like my therapist, who is on the loose here somewhere!
Glad we all enjoy this band.

A drag queen dressed up as a pig just shoved bacon in my mouth then reenacted a Wendy’s commercial.
Happy Thursday!

I am so sick of the “we used to be great, now look at us” way people talk about Minneapolis and Minnesota. You know what happened? 2020 happened. No one and nothing is the same, so why do we keep acting like it’s possible to go back to a different time?
anyone see this documentary “a precarious state”? claims to be about minnesota but actually seems to be about minneapolis and judging by cast of characters, it’s about influencing the election this fall - jim rubin was part of the we love mpls slideshow

Karaoke at Chatterbox is the best because it is so DIY that there are no standards or rules or expectations it’s just pure chaos.
You go from Elton John to Cabaret to Cat Power and that’s beautiful.

It’s been such a hard week and karaoke is so cathartic.

Bumping this again with a reminder that you should be donating to and volunteering for the candidates with the most special interests attacking them, and that means @katiecashman.bsky.social @efornorth.bsky.social @robin4mpls.bsky.social
So get those wallets out and get on the doors!
Hot take: every time you laugh at a post or meme about the chaos that is Minneapolis politics, you should make a donation to the serious candidates and elected officials dedicating their lives to improving our City.

The internet is fun, but remember that the clowns win if we don’t do something.

Downtown is dead? Then how come some teenager in a shirt that says “virginity rocks!” in the Pokémon font is begrudgingly hanging out with his mom at Star Bar happy hour?
