True leadership means respect for partners and allies. Even for the smaller and weaker ones. Never arrogance. Dear friends, think about it.

Me: I can’t believe UK voters chose to torch their economy with Brexit. That can never be topped.

Ukraine is not alone.

Germany together with our European allies stands united alongside #Ukraine - and against the Russian aggression. Ukraine can build on unwavering support from Germany, Europe and beyond. Their defence of democracy & their quest for peace & security is ours.

The USA capitulating to a country with a GDP only 4X that of Ireland's wasn't on my decadal bingo card.

Strong wind generation this week also helps illustrate the impact of the new Greenlink Interconnector. On 3 separate occasions this week, we saw renewable levels higher than demand. Additional interconnection capacity helps Ireland export more electricity when renewable generation is extra high!

I'm visiting my brother in Singapore as I have been lucky to do so annually for the last two years. Anecdotally speaking, there's a *lot* more rooftop solar compared to my last visit. It will be interesting to see the stats when Q1 2025 numbers are available. #energysky

I got a battery upgrade on my 10-year old EV, a LEAF 🍃. It now has the range of a premium new EV - no extra space required, such is the rate of battery tech improvement, and the old battery will be installed in my house, to allow all my power to come from solar or cheap and cleaner night electricity

Heat pumps are magic, they're also tricky.

I recently spent some time optimising our relatively old fixed speed heat pump. Turns out, she consumes way less power at a slightly lower flow temp and cycling regularly than at a slightly higher temp with nice long cycles. (dropped the curve by 4 degC)

Is this the beginning of a golden age for workers? Demography, policy and AI are certainly changing the labour market, with some complex interactions.
