I tend to use them interchangeably, much like all single letter alternate spellings of words we otherwise share in full with our UK cousins. Usually it's a matter of how they look amid the other words around them as to which I use. This has led to the occasional reader confusing my place of origin.
I know "gray" is the correct American spelling, but I like the UK/Canada spelling of "grey" WAYYYYY better.

Without proof of another life, without the promise of paradise with no pain and no strife, we should strive while alive for a heaven here on earth, the one life we can prove, so the only life of worth.

Building an inclusive, pluralistic community starts with (but doesn't end with) listening to the folks who haven't felt welcome in our spaces. People showing up for a game night or a protest shouldn't have to deal with Debate Me Bros rattling on about the singular they or arguing about sports.

Those that labor in the shadows, diligently maintaining a precarious order in the face of chaos and apathy, holding out to the bitter end, stoking flames of hope against the coming darkness, they were always there. We will never know all their names, but the future is bleaker without their efforts.
Trump is using this government shutdown as an excuse to continue firing workers from the Centers for Disease Control and other critical government agencies.
Let’s be clear: He doesn’t have to fire these people, but he’s doing it anyway — and it makes all of us less safe.

Especially in this age of tattoo removal and cover-ups, when your past regrets can be redacted. If you have changed from a piece-of-shit into a presentable person, you can take steps to scour your sins from your skin.
I feel like basic shit like "having a Nazi tattoo" should be on a list of things which ban you from employment in public office, government departments, or emergency services.
