I started watching The Goldbergs recently. I wasn't expecting much from a goofy sitcom set in the 80s; I just needed something new that requires little of my brain. But, it's surprisingly good and quickly becoming one of my favorite shows!

One of my best friends and coworkers was told he’s most likely going to be laid off tomorrow because he’s a probationary employee
He’s only probationary because he’s a veteran hire and they have a 2 yr rather than 1 yr period
He’s the highest performing person here
