Last week, we got a small glimpse into the National Guard deployment to D.C.
Soldiers from Mississippi were stationed at a subway stop near the Capitol. They broke up a fight between on a train, involving a guy police said had been stealing hats.
He also allegedly assaulted one of the Guardsmen.

This is appalling. Civilized countries look at us and are rightly horrified that this idiocy and cruelty is sanctioned by--encouraged by--our government.

The big American tech firms known as the “Silicon Six” have been accused of paying almost $278bn (£211bn) less corporate income tax in the past decade compared with the statutory rate for US companies making the same profits.
