Thrilled to be awarded a @breakthrought1duk.bsky.social grant to understand more about Diabetes Burnout, starting later this year.

This project will see a translation of the new discoveries @elainekinsella.bsky.social and I have made in work burnout to T1D burnout.

Can't wait to get started!

New MPs, civil servants and scientists are about to trade places and swap roles as the Royal Society Pairing Scheme 2025 kicks off on Monday. 30 UK scientists will be shadowing parliamentarians and civil servants over a week that will include the Spring Statement: royalsociety.org/news/2025/03...

I don't know who needs to see this, but for some autistic people, remote work is a necessity... not a perk. Of course, it won't be possible in every profession. But when feasible... it should be a required accommodation for autistic people who need it.

1/We analysed GP Patient Survey data from>750K people in England:
Around 1 in 20 people had #LongCovid & nearly 1 in 10 were not sure if they have it.
We did adjusted analysis by social & demographic attributes to find out who's more likely to have LC or is uncertain about it.

Comes to something when a Labour government would rather punish the most vulnerable of our society, cut the legs out of the NHS, and force universities into redundancy before taxing the rich. Or entertaining the idea of reclaiming fraudulently lost money from Covid contracts, loans etc.

Very chuffed to get the snazzy new Covid JN.1 booster today. I'm lucky I'm able to afford to pay for them as carers seem to no longer be eligible for free ones. If only these were more widely accessible for those that want them.
