This may be controversial, but I like the new Jaguar logo and the new advert. Grace, Pace and Space needs to be updated to reflect the modern (electric car) world but that does not mean it has been lost with the new logo!

Today’s been a good day - Queen’s University Belfast has an awful lot to teach other universities in the U.K. about how to engage Alumni with current students (from BA to PGT and PGR).

I owe QUB a huge debt of gratitude! #StudentMentoringProgramme

A great man has passed away, as did David Jackson during Covid. Oakham School had such riches, Mr Gilvary was surgical in his teaching of Chaucer

As soon as @Keir_Starmer stopped speaking, I had a call. “You’re my Labour councillor. I wanted you to know that I’ve just joined Labour. His message about care workers deserving as much respect as the Prime Minister really struck home.” Welcome to @WitneyLabourCLP John. 🌹❤️

Must be said, lay night’s view was a little “different” - NHS at its best from Wednesday’s GP appointment to yesterday’s referral and then to today’s Virtual Consult. Despite 14yrs of Tory failure we really do have the best Healthcare System in the world!

It will take a little time for Labour's approach to housing to bear fruit, but it is a genuine change. I was pleased to see the New Homes Accelerator Programme for getting to grips with the reasons for stalled sites.

Serious self-discipline is required when reading Alan Booth’s “The Roads to Sata: A 2000 Mile Walk through Japan” - a chapter a week so far, but that rule may be broken tonight. Then to find a copy of “Looking for the Lost: Journeys through a Vanishing Japan”!

Very useful and interesting blog with lessons for political parties about last minute decisions and young voters turning out in higher numbers than expected (I see a correlation there in Bristol).

Okay I think you are ready for this BlueSky. Let's talk cheese history.

More specifically, Yorkshire Dales cheeses, and how WW2 and rationing almost wiped out cheesemaking in northern Britain.

This is the story of the near-death of the world of one of the world's great cheeses: Wensleydale. /1 🧵
