Did anyone else just stumble upon a request to assess in RMS without any email notification? I was submitting a DPEI27 and saw an FT request to assess just hanging there. I would not have known if I wasn't one of the cast of thousands throwing my hat in the ring for DPs @arc-tracker.bsky.social

As Qld government school teachers take industrial action again today, I'm impressed by the level of public support. When I was a teacher we were so demonised for going on strike. This is both good news for public education and sobering. Sobering because we're aware of current teaching conditions.

Every time we remove knowledge from its roots, put it in a classroom, a textbook, an online worksheet or an AI platform, that knowledge becomes more and more statistical, more and more cerebral, more and more artificial. Teachers are tasked with the impossible of ensuring our intelligence is logical
Desperately seeking logic
This is the eighth blog that sociologically considers the phenomenon of AI in education in dialectic with The Eye of the Master: A social history of artificial intelligence by Matteo Pasquinelli.
