If you’re ever looking for a great iced latte, the best advice I have for you is to skip the coffee shop and find a bar with an espresso machine.

Coffee thread:

I live in a city full of coffee shops and only a handful of places make coffee that’s any good. Too often it seems that spots lean to heavily on the quality of beans or responsible sourcing for their product, but that doesn’t always translate to the guest experience.

I went into a Teavana once and the guy there tried to sell me a $30 steeping diffuser. When I asked if they had empty sachets instead, he looked at me in disgust and very condescendingly asked if I even had anything with which to make tea. 😂😂

Got this bad boy at work today. Call me basic, but I do love a good swordfish steak.

I’m just gonna say it, freezer door martinis are garbage. Making a martini with zero dilution is harsh. And I genuinely cannot understand the hate that people have for vermouth. Maybe you don’t like dry or rouge, but there are so many options that I can guarantee there’s one that you like.

As much as I love tequila, its recent explosion in global popularity has offered up some cringeworthy exports in the past few years. Qualities haven’t grown with the price, and most of the lifestyle labels are total bullshit. But that’s true with anything having mass market appeal.

Here’s another one. If you can’t tell, I have a passion for crafting ice.

I make my own ice. Making clear ice isn’t hard, you just need the right tools. An insulated cooler with no lid so that the water freezes top down. All the cloudy stuff freezes at the bottom. If you need to cut, a bread knife and hammer works fine. Light taps and good timing goes a long way.

I was done being outraged by the news 8 years ago, even less so last week. I’m more so perplexed by the amount of people denying what happened on Monday when a certain class of folks have become so emboldened as to no longer hide their own beliefs and agendas. You’re only gaslighting yourself now.

Got the night off because of the weather advisory. Three day weekend starts with some stroopwafels and coffee.

New year, new social media account. For the most of you who don’t know me, I like to make drinks. All of my content will be food related. Here are some things I did last year:
