The best way to honor Charlie's memory is to continue his work - Gavin Newsom

It is entirely possible to be respectful about the death of a person you disagreed with without “honoring” him by vowing to continue his disagreeable, hateful “work.”
The best way to honor Charlie's memory is to continue his work: engage with each other, across ideology, through spirited discourse. In a democracy, ideas are tested through words and good-faith debate — never through violence.

🚨 URGENT RESPONSE CALL 🚨
The NIH just withdrew from Safe to Sleep®—a campaign that helped cut SIDS deaths by 50%.
This quiet decision will cost babies’ lives.

We need noise. Fast. Here’s what to do ➡️🧵(1/3)

Thank you Assemblymembers Ward, Ortega, and Quirk-Silva for standing with state workers and scrutinizing the unknown and unnecessary costs of the 4-day RTO order ✊

This right here is a person who punches down ⬇️ Newsom doesn't stand for anything but his own desire for more power. Get fucked Gavin.
March 7, 2025 at 3:43 PM
Gov Newsom issued a new RTO mandate of 4 days in office for state employees, a slap in the face to all CA civil servants, particularly working parents, and a huge blow to California's climate goals 👎🏻

As he eyes a presidential run, I hope you all remember that
@governor.ca.gov is anti-worker ❌

Remember when NIH got an increase in funding during the first admin? What a time
I'm struggling to understand why Trump and Musk are conducting an all-out siege on American medical research. I understand the corrupt and/or ideological reasons for a lot of the other things they're doing, but the systematic assault on NIH et al feels like destruction purely for destruction's sake.

H5N1 everywhere
Seasonal flu, RSV, COVID
