If the below poll is the trend in the big counties, areas like Abilene, Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland, Odessa, San Angelo, and Wichita Falls could make the difference.

There are those who may not like that but when things get close in the reliable areas, the midsize cities could be the arbiter.

Early voting for the primary is upon Texas. The first, second, and last days are usually the biggest and have the longest wait times.

So I suggest going on like day five. Fairly short line.

In my latest piece, I’ll write about the SAVE Act. What will I write? You’ll have to wait and read.

Can’t make up this stuff.

“…The anti-drone technology was launched near the southern border to shoot down what appeared to be foreign drones. The flying material turned out to be a party balloon, sources said. One balloon was shot down, several sources said…”

The fact that Gov. Abbott only leads @ginafortexas.bsky.social by seven in a February @uh.edu poll is not a good sign of things to come.

Naturally, things can change, but this is not the best news for the governor right now. #txlege

At least two dozen U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement employees and contractors have been charged with crimes since 2020 and the wrongdoing includes patterns of violence, sexual abuse and corruption, a review by The Associated Press found.
As ICE expands, an AP review of crimes committed by agents shows how their powers can be abused
Investigators say one immigration official abused his girlfriend for years. Another admitted he sexually abused a woman in his custody.

Patrick Svitek was a Texas politics journalistic treasure at the Texas Tribune, and a huge get for WaPo. A real pro who did the work with thoughtfulness and diligence. Hope somewhere is lucky to hire him quickly.
This is just awful news. Patrick is one of the best reporters out there, and we relied on his work constantly, including his reporting for the Texas Tribune before he went to WaPo. We would hire him if only we could. x.com/PatrickSvite...

Some interesting breakdowns from last night’s #txlege #SD9 Democratic runoff victory. There was about a 20% decline in runoff participation from the ‘25 special election.

While there was more GOP votes than Dems in the special, those GOP voters didn’t coalesce around their nominee.

For the record, I’d rather listen to a Yoko Ono album than watch the Melania documentary.

Besides this being cooked up by the kookiest of all DNI people, I thought president’s had immunity while they were in office.
For months and months I said Trump was going to arrest and imprison his enemies and I think people just thought I was being alarmist. He will absolutely put them all away to feed his disturbing, sick mind. He’s becoming more and more dangerous and mentally ill. #Projection
