Shoulda, woulda, coulda, I guess. Six months ago, I learned that Steven Soderbergh and Adam Driver had quietly developed a post- “Rise of Skywalker” “Star Wars” film titled “The Hunt For Ben Solo,” written by Scott Z. Burns, but out of an abundance of reporterly caution, I didn’t go forward with the story. This week, Driver himself revealed the project’s existence in an Associated Press interview, confirming that he and Soderbergh had worked on a “Star Wars” movie that never came to fruition.

HBO has opted not to renew Sesame Street beyond its upcoming 55th season. HBO outbid PBS for the rights to air the show in 2015, then began airing it in 2016. PBS had the rights to second-run broadcasts in that era. Thus, lots of people never realized Sesame left PBS.

Seeing a lot of takes on the Sesame Street cancellation that forget how we got here. The show is expensive to produce, as these things go, and PBS could no longer afford its license fee. And in the streaming era, it had limited ways to pay for itself.

I don't think the business elites understand just how much they're hated. Today's assassination and rampant celebration of it is a window into America's soul. It really can't be stated enough how the AI craze is rooted deeply in utter vitriolic disrespect for the working class. Like I've seen multiple cases of this tech being marketed directly on sticking it to us filthy poors who want things like "benefits" and "fair pay for our labor"
