Daily reminder that you are a better writer and researcher than any generative AI platform around. Your skills are worthy and it takes far more time to clean-up and fact-check the mess some chatbot spits out than to just do it yourself 😘

ah yes, aristocracies — known the world over for their innovation, flexibility and capacity to meet new challenges
Meet Rockbridge, the secretive donor circle that lifted JD Vance is now re-writing MAGA’s future.

It roots its action in a “controversial theory — an ‘aristocracy’ is needed to move the country forward.”

It’s method: a venture capital approach to politics.

First sentence for a story:

Garrett dug his index finger deep into his right nostril, felt for the biggest, crustiest booger there, dug out the oozing grey-green lump, and flicked it at his older sister.

Just like in June, I’m scheduled to be #SaturdayLibrarian during a #NoKingsProtest. But I’ll wear yellow, I’ll know local protest locations to point patrons to (should they ask), & will focus on providing quality fact-checked info as always. My damn job is an act of anti authoritarian protest ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

So, if you have plans to visit a National Park site during the #shutdown, even if they say it's open still- please, don't. The best thing you can do for parks right now is to stay away. Many of us have worked a shutdown before, and we know first hand the damage it causes. #ProtectOurParks

It really is a grim ritual that we have so many acts of violence that evolve into another grim ritual of everyone waiting to see what team the maniac played for, and half the time that has already been decided by the grim ritual of everyone speculating before anyone has any clue about it

Took my oldest kid to see it! I wish studios did this more, like how they would show movies from the 40s/50s in theaters in the 70s. Not just paltry weekend release, but solid 2 months of 30+ yr old films would pander to the older gens’ nostalgia w/o wasting $ on boring/expensive franchises
‘JAWS’ earned $8.1M domestically this weekend for the film’s 50th anniversary.

Among the biggest re-release weekends of the decade.

It is fucking insane that we had a decade of people complaining about the dangers of cancel culture, and now literally hundreds of thousands of people are being purged from government jobs for ideological reasons, but that is not cancel culture.
