Sad to hear the news of Peter Higgs. I met him in Edinburgh in 2013 at his Nobel prize celebration. When I asked Prof. Higgs to sign a copy of his 1964 Physical Review Letters he told me how he only added the existence of a particle after comments from a referee who initially rejected it!
