Thrilled to share our discovery on the genetic switch that creates a hybrid EMT state for embryo implantation.
This work has broad implications as it explains control of physiologic EMT in adult tissues and it also shows that HOX genes have bifunctional roles

2 new studies from the lab show that early pregnancy needs inflammation but only briefly. When uterine inflammation does not activate in time, implantation fails and if prolongs pregnancy is lost.

The IBEX Knowledge-Base is setting a new standard for reproducibility in #immunofluorescence imaging: open, community-driven, and with ‘exceptional’ evidence of its utility.

It’s now up to the community to contribute to its growth.

Genome Shows no Recent Inbreeding in Near-Extinction Woolly Rhinoceros Sample Found in Ancient Wolf's Stomach
Using temporarily spaced high-coverage ancient genomes, we can assess population decline prior to extinction. However, finding suitable ancient remains for recovering this type of data is challenging. Here, we sequenced a high-coverage genome from ...

Techniques, methods papers and software papers are bound to be higher on scoreboards and there are no prizes for guessing that. For which direction the science is moving .. ideal would be to look at highly cited original papers and look at field normalised citations.
