Has anyone else noticed that there seems to be a lot of Pollyanna "silver lining" words coming out of Dem mouths to make us feel better about the betrayal? I'm not blaming Schumer, though I do think the centrists need to STFU and learn from Newsom and Mamdani.

I know this long national nightmare is far from over, but last night gave me that shot of hope and optimism I need to keep going. As a former Republican who switched in early 2017, I remain appalled by what the GOP has become. Disagree, but don't hate. Debate and compromise.

I wonder if the red politicians will see the lame duck and distance themselves. Those few MAGA hardcore will be told quietly to shut up and sit down. Probably not. They're more likely to try to cheat and pretend to be "strong."

#witchsky I was sitting with my friend discussing seasonal crafts and activities yesterday. For my trad, fall and winter are the seasons of needlework, candle making, incense creation, oils and brews. Since I have my herbs harvested, we will begin with horehound cough drops. What are you doing?

Another week begins with the government shutdown. Dozens of states have sued to release the USDA emergency fund so hunger doesn't hit the richest nation in the world. I don't think we're that rich if we have citizens who are that close to the edge. The vote tomorrow is a chance to fix this. #vote

The depth of the shame of a country this wealthy and abundant allowing its people to go hungry is impossible to measure. The fact that a handful of people could fix this by paying their fair share of taxes while still remaining obscenely wealthy makes it even worse.
