Perplexed is an understatement to describe how Canadians are feeling right now. Dual citizen living in Canada. As a Canadian, it feels like a deep & irrevocable betrayal, a reckoning that we can no longer trust our closest allies. As an American, I feel nothing but sadness & shame.
"We have fought and died alongside you....During your darkest hours...we were always there. Standing with you, grieving with you, the American people.” I’ve had my differences with Justin Trudeau, for sure, but he rose to the occasion here.
