It’s a great year for movies. In the last month I saw Sinners (for the second time), One Battle After Another, Weapons, Ballad Of A Small Player, and Marty Supreme. Truly can’t remember when we last had a year this great.

YUP. No one gets "#MeToo-ed." Their own awful behavior becomes known and they end their own career because they're awful, the end.
People went around for yrs screaming as if someone losing TV show or film was tantamount to murder. Really tired of this dynamic: You try to just POINT OUT ongoing bad behavior of a male public figure = you’re the worst monster in history & you just KILLED that guy by having standards. Sorry, my bad

when i was little -- like three or four -- we had an awful babysitter once that ate all the Cheez-its and wouldn't let us have any. She was obsessed with Styx and thought she was going to marry the lead singer. pretty sure she didn't.

ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER is terrific, and especially terrific in Vista Vision! Kevin Tighe has like two lines, but is just stunning, as are all the cast. One of Leo's best. Goddamn I love movies so much!
