Beautiful 1860s Victorian butterfly, which was used to store small packets of sewing needles on the underside of the wings. This was a collaboration between a London-based drapers company and a sewing needle manufacturer. On exhibit at Tatter Blue, a Brooklyn textile museum.

If people whose wheelchairs were damaged ordestroyed, United Spinal Association is also giving grants. People can donate to the org to help w/ these grants/other emergency supports. unitedspinal.org/ready-to-rol...
A lot of aid orgs in LA county are absolutely deluged with donations, especially clothes, which is amazing. Longer term, folks are going to need money and help finding places to live in an absolutely awful rental market. And we’re already seeing some reports of price gouging on hotel rooms.
