When i was researching chairs the idea of “how a chair is supposed to feel” kept coming up. What does that even mean?? Chairs are made up. Theyre just supposed to feel comfortable??

Democratizing the arts looks like universal income, low-barrier grants for both emerging and working artists, well-funded municipal arts & recreation programs, vibrant third spaces, and a well-funded public school system with progressive curriculum.

like i love this story and I think it reveals something important. the atari is encoding a ton of information about the rules of chess explicitly in a very small amount of data, and the associational model, despite a much larger amount of data & computation, does not effectively model the game

Ended up deciding to purchase this chair after watching many hours of reviews yesterday and this morning. i am 6’3 and wanted to find an office chair that was comfy for tall people in a lower price range than herman miller… with discount, this was 200.
