I use Meta solely to keep in touch with my family/friends who have not moved to other platforms yet. I haven't posted for a long time.

I heard a story via a podcast where someone was discussing their "relationship" with an AI boyfriend.
I'm not going to judge *too* harshly - people probably have their reasons; loneliness, abuse survivors, busy work schedules, etc., but it just feels so separated, so disconnected from humanity.

here I am, trying BlueSky once again for my social needs. I've been rather desperate for some semblance of socialisation that I've been checking Facebook and LinkedIn, the latter I especially do not recommend unless you enjoy reading AI posts from accounts pretending to be people

Uninstalled Threads from my phone. It's always so depressing opening it, it's so draining.
I've been receiving nothing but complaints about AI usage, and whilst I agree that generative AI is awful, it's literally all I see on there.

I refer to it in my head as Beautiful outside, Dead inside, but really my doodles don't get names. I think it's Untitled79 according to IbisPaint, maybe that's it? #art

Like the whole buyout of Twitter would have meant nothing in the end, just a way to make Elon spend money and look like a fool.

I know this will never happen, but now X is hemorrhaging users and losing value rapidly, and BlueSky is doing the opposite and presumably doing better, I would find it absolutely hilarious if BlueSky bought the rights to use Twitter name/logo from X and literally just cost Elon billions for nothing
