I think the noun 'disconnect' has become so popular because it can be used in an equally vague manner as 'problem' (i.e. without stating what the problem is about), but you somehow sound more sophisticated and technical.

i think the fundamental disconnect here, and i say this as an engineer without much creative talent, is that a lot of people who don't do creative things regularly (or ever) look at creative output (writing, music, whatever) as a product, and consume and experience it like a baby looking at a mobile

For every €1 provided through a Basic Income For Artists pilot program in Ireland, the government got €1.46 back. So it’s being made permanent.
Over and over we see it. It saves public money to provide public housing. And it makes public money to provide basic income.
We can’t afford to NOT do it.

Es ist mir ein Rätsel, warum bei Landwirten nicht der Kampf gegen den Klimawandel absolute Priorität über alles hat. Vor allem bei jenen, die ihren Hof an die nächste Generation weitergeben wollen. Der Bauerverband müsste stramm grün sein, wenn er wirklich die Interessen vertreten würde.
