Sierra Leone diagnoses 500 women with cervical cancer every year. More than 70% don't survive.

Now, in one week one million girls have been protected against it with the HPV vaccine.

This presents the case in the context of lupus.
DEI Isn’t Wasteful. It’s Necessary for Good Medicine
Lupus patients pay the price when we erase inclusion from medical research.

Getting Rosalind Franklin’s story right is crucial, because she has become a role model for women going into science

What Rosalind Franklin truly contributed to the discovery of DNA’s structure
Franklin was no victim in how the DNA double helix was solved. An overlooked letter and an unpublished news article, both written in 1953, reveal that she was an equal player.

So happy to share this! Bacteriocins were first discovered over 100 years ago, but what do they actually do? We look at >1000 bacteriocin plasmids and find links to virulence and antimicrobial resistance, and frequent bacteriocin sharing in Enterobacteriaceae.
