Public Transit has a marketing problem in Canada. Not to customers (who love it) but to senior governments (who are apparently not even aware it exists). May I propose:

After umpteen light-related issues (the biggest eventually traced back to needing to replace the surge protector, and took way too many "maybe it's this...?" resolution attempts), I have *finally* gotten the lights done on mum's tree. Excited to decorate it with her on the weekend 🥰

Forgot to close patio door last night. Dropped to 12.8°C in my apt, hadn't had heat on (3rd fl, don't usually need it). Woke to smoke detector chirping & Poppykins suffering Firebell Testing Flashbacks. Took a shower for rapid heat, shower loudly squealed, probably woke at least three apts. Whoops 😬

I’m not sure that I’m done, I’m never *really* done, but every ornament that I presently own is now on this tree so *for now* here it is - my Christmas tree 🎄

Another 500 multicolour lights later and I’m finally ready to start putting ornaments on! I’ve almost got my mum’s place fully decorated now as well, just linens and the tree left to do.

We're gonna build a pipeline for every possible liquid before we build meaningful passenger rail. Maybe it's time to accept that we must be puréed and shoved into a tube in order to travel across this country.

I’m delayed by running out of working multicoloured lights, but I did manage to nab a seemingly-never-used angel for $5 from value village! Can’t get her straight until I’m done the lights so for now it looks like she’s a wee bit tipsy 😬

I was delayed by seeing if I could find a new 7ft pre-lit tree that I liked and could afford - I did not find one. Thank you past me for leaving the branches fluffed! I have to get a new angel topper, the one I’ve had since childhood is looking a little fire-hazardy.

I’m not allowed to tell people what I’m doing until November 1st without being yelled off the internet, but it *has* caused me to clean things that haven’t been cleaned since 2022 and I’m quite proud of that. I even found new underwear with price tags still attached under one pile of mess! 😅
