The Santa Cruz River now flows again through Tucson after treated wastewater was redirected into its channel, reviving wetlands and native life. We can thank reconciliation ecology for this - the practice of environmental restoration in human-dominated landscapes.

Over the last 48 hours in Tucson I’ve gained some clarity.

Watching ICE raid family businesses one day, assaulting my neighbors.

Then gathering with the San Xavier District of the Tohono O’odham Nation the next day for the Big Cold Moon Festival, playing music & dancing into the night.
