Finally finished reading Heated Rivalry for a number of reasons but mostly because life has been hectic and busy and a little numbing recently, but here are my thoughts on it if anyone is interested! Will finally watch the show...at some point (I want to, just need to get myself to watch it)
Heated Rivalry review, 4 stars, notes "Very funny and sweet! Took me a second to get into and a while to finish, but about halfway through, it got me to lock in. Shane trying so hard to convince himself that he was something he wasn't and Ilya trying to not look too closely at what he felt but then both of them ultimately fully embracing what they had with each other and what they felt when they saw a glimmer of hope was very sweet. Ilya really became the "nothing else but you matters anymore" boyfriend that I wasn't expecting him to be and truly made me love his character, but I love that he didn't lose his obnoxiousness (affectionate). This really did follow plenty of Enemies to Lovers tropes, but it didn't feel overplayed or too predictable. Being able to switch between their povs was fun and it was cool to see their character development through their own and each others' eyes. Will read the next one."
