the fact that USDA tells grocers that they cannot give SNAP recipients discounts in times when people are starving is a whole different kind of cruelty. People will die from this, and none of them had to.

I don't think people outside of NYC fully see how incredibly RACIST Cuomo's campaign has been. It rivals any of the most racist campaigns of the 20th century. Just racism all the way down.

I need people to stop assuming these “small” increases are inconsequential. For a lot of us, our current rents are still unaffordable. We also live in buildings that are decaying, mismanaged, and in neighborhoods experiencing the cognitive dissonance of both disinvestment and gentrification. (1/2)
