Just a general reminder that some people help their communities but don't post it on the internet for a myriad of reasons so, don't assume they don't care.

A lot of people are doing what they can right now.

I've been trying to figure out how to better promote my supplement to Song of the River Prince this time around. Last year I struggled to get it over the finish line. I've cut the campaign in half so I don't have the two-week lull, and I've cut the goal in half.

So… turns out workplace DnD is just a ton of murderhobos. They locked a bunch of guards in the tavern and lit it on fire. They ARE locked inside with the Iron Circle guards though, so there’s a chance everyone’s going to die in here.

I'd love to get up to 100 people following this project before it goes live at the beginning of Feb. Can you help me get there?

One of the players in my workplace D&D campaign came stomping into my office. "I'm psyched for today's game! Can't wait to behead some more people!" then walked back out.

I spent an excessive number of years moderating a gaming forum and I learned a great deal about community spaces and cultivation, whether I wanted to or not. I have critical advice for anyone who runs a game store or gaming convention. Please share this thread with people who run those things.

the reframing of old school D&D into Shitfarmer Survival Chronicle is so interesting to me, because it's a tone that matches how the mechanics work better, but if you actually go back and read old D&D it was *always* and *absolutely* meant to be heroic fantasy, no matter what grognards say.

The Good Place.
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

You can make your own paper minis with Hero Forge!

Make your model, then tell it you want to make it an acrylic keychain. You can look at it from both sides. Then screenshot it, remove the outline, line it in black, and print it on paper. I'll be working on a walk-through on Dice Monkey soon.

Woo! I'm so glad the rules arrived in NZ! My book can now be found all over the world! I know it's been spotted in England, Germany, The Netherlands, and now New Zealand!
Just got @dicemonkey.itch.io Song of the River Prince in the mail today. I’m looking forward to reading it! RPGs that lean into the journey and the adventures of discovery and travel are wonderful games.
