Today marks the 40th anniversary of the 7th episode of Dirty Pair, "愛こそすべて命賭けます逃避行!!" or "Love Is Everything, Betting Their Lives on Elopement", one of the most overtly trans-positive episodes of anime of its era. This was the future they predicted for us in 1985. We can still get there.

I just witnessed the most unhinged subway order of my life by the lady infront of me in line. 6 inch, white bread, shredded cheese, untoasted. That's it. Just bread and cold, unmelted cheese. I'm baffled.

Me: Replacing my AC was too expensive. I need to cancel my Vegas trip.
Also me: Huh, maybe it wasn't as expensive if I thought. What if I went to Montreal in September on a whim??
I guess I'm gunna see if I can't make plans for card game tournaments now, oops.

Two new options since I canceled Vegas for vacation this year: Philadelphia or Montreal for card game stuff. Neither of these are probably any cheaper than Evo would be, but at least I've got my finances more in a row to take the 'unpaid time off' hit by November. 🤔
