A whole new lot of folk just followed me, which is, of course, lovely; I suspect it’s because I’m on a couple of starter packs. But to warn you all, I can be random in my posts, but expect: HE L&T; UK politics; crochet; reposts of art/craft/photograpy etc; book stuff. Feel free to unfollow 😉
Binge watched Murderbot this weekend. It’s SO good! And an excellent adaption of the novella. Great casting. If you haven’t read the murderbot diaries by @marthawells.com you’ve missed a treat. They are excellent on audiobook too. #sf #fiction #writing #books #whattowatch

Our front garden is becoming one of the last in the street - I live in a flood vulnerable city so it’s so frustrating! I think there needs to be council &government messages about this. Permeable materials are not enough we need plants& trees to absorb some water www.theguardian.com/environment/...

This is the takeaway I use and this is horrifying. This isn’t somewhere else - this is your backyard and mine! I remember in the 80s a local shop near me suffering this kind of horror. I thought we’d moved on from this in 40 years!

Remember: There is nothing natural or inevitable about extreme inequality; it’s the result of an economic system that values wealth and power over human dignity and justice.

It doesn't have to be this way.

Government has got this spectacularly wrong.

If an organisation is breaking the law, prosecute it.

But arresting people for holding up signs is a waste of police time, it's increasing support for the organisation &, above all, it's a flagrant violation of free speech.
