Woke up to the brightness of #snow - it’s usually still pretty dark when I get up (here in N #Yorkshire at this time of year) but the low sky and snow have made it lighter.

A double rainbow this morning

It’s the #weekend here and while I had a sneak peak at the #thirdspace symposium posts (work head!) I am still on a quest to enjoy non-work activities, so far: a walk, a movie, reading, crochet, making bread (pesto &olive) and a bit of cat love.

In my quest to be less work-aholic in my life, I’m trying to do weekend things (whatever they are) - the plan today was to go to 2 craft fairs (on foot). The weather however is horrid here so instead we’ve moved the furniture to make space for some circle & #folkdancing - the cat is appalled

Im trying to see weekends as about stuff other than work, so here’s my most recent completed crochet project - I’m new to crochet but loving it (I like: the rhythm of it, learning something new, it can produce something quickly, I can listen to a novel at the same time). #crafting

It’s a bit weird looking but I have had a go at christopsomo (Greek Christmas bread) - ingredients include: wine, brandy, orange juice and zest, raisins, nuts, sugar as well as usual bread ingredients. (It isn’t shiny cos I dont have eggs in the house so no glaze)

Dark approaches at the end of the shortest day on winter solstice here in the northern hemisphere. The light will come again!
