SEN. KELLY : “They informed me of this in a tweet because this is not about the law. This is about the media cycle, and intimidation… We basically repeated the uniform code of military justice, and they're saying that's in violation of it. It's absurd. Comical.”

Trump has always had the power to release the files. He won’t.

If they ever are released, expect redactions galore.

And Pam is so reliable; she can always be counted on to do exactly what her boss wants. Meaning Trump, of course.

Standing up to a tyrant - who is willing to impose pain as leverage to compel loyalty or acquiescence - is hard. You can convince yourself that yielding stops the pain and brings you back to "normal".

But there is no "normal". Submission emboldens the tyrant. The threat grows.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Well, isn’t this lovely. While hundreds of thousands go hungry in the world’s richest country, the wealthiest get tax breaks.

What I want to know is how much richer Donald J. Trump got over the past year, while 40% of the US population are considered low income?

The Trump administration has a rainy day fund that will keep SNAP from expiring in November. Trump is refusing to use it.

Funding SNAP isn't a choice he can make. It's a legal obligation. USDA must release the funds and stop punishing the American people.

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

Maybe he’ll build a golden beauty salon where he can get his hair dyed, skin colored orange, and a massage.
