I lean primarily towards writing sci-fi and gothic horror. I'm more drawn to mystery and the unknown since both can be terrifying in their own right. They're also often atmospheric and induce a sense of wonder in a deeply disturbing way. #HorrorWritersChat

I hope he gets more opportunities to draw these characters in the future – preferably outside of a main DCU event.

This one was a mixed bag for me in terms of execution, but one more thing I did love about this issue that I forgot to mention was Javier Fernández drawing the Absolute Universe heroes. It’s always a weird juxtaposition to see a modern school girl shouting at the Sengoku Jidai spectre to not do what spectres always do in Japanese horror stories. It’s like having a modern high school student shouting at a Victorian England vampire out of behaving like a vampire. It ruins the tone.💀
