MSNBC is not news. It’s a bunch of talkers talking and talking.
I watch BBC news because it is such a calm way to get the news. They don't shout, laugh maniacally, or speak abnormally fast. MSNBC could learn a few things.

Yes. Yes. And Yes.
We need to tax the rich! They’ve rigged the system for too long. Repost if you agree.

Understory tree, its blooms attract hoards of a large black and white wasp. I had one in my Seattle parking strip, it doesn’t like to be alone. Great tree.
🌱 #Raisin Tree / #Hovenia dulcis flower stems develop a few berries which drop off. Zig zag stems continue to grow, puffing up and becoming sweet, chewy and raisin flavored.

This is must-see cinema. Works on all levels. Pithy and beautiful. The music. Political. And horrific.

Just watched this: Our dollars paying for further militarization of local police —-not healthcare or great parks and pools, and the taser makers are billionaires. Not good.
This week’s main story is about Tasers, whether they are as safe and effective as the company who makes them claims, the broader effect they’ve had on policing, and one very creative tip for your next appearance at a corporate event. You’ll see.

Here’s one of Seattle’s first Wildlife Sanctuary lot in Ballard 3003 NW 70th St. Looks like the owner is gone, house boarded up and a picture and candle in the parking strip. A real gem : vital for animals, the lot all trees and shrubs.

Camperdown Elm on our block survived construction of a new house, but limbed up. It is 100 years old and a focus tree on our Ballard Seattle block.

ERA more important than ever! 28 states have the ERA or gender equality language. It will be the 28th Amendment to the Constitution, first passed in Congress 1972.

Here’s a Mazzard Cherry living at 3033 NW 62nd (Ballard). According to Street Trees of Seattle by Taha Ebrahimi this tree is the first recorded cherry tree in the public right-of-way.

A blooming Scrophularia, a figwort in my garden seeded 20 years ago, a close and old relative of the Foxglove. Seeds itself about the garden, its blooms are orange, bee and hummingbird magnet.

Happy Beltane, first day of summer.
