Benefits of Rednote:
1) AI videos are tagged
2) lots of videos of little moles scurrying around
I hate that AI has made me approach cute animal videos with an air of suspicion. I resent having to harden my heart to the possibility of an unlikely friendship between a very large dog and a very small one

In 2027 salary increases will be obsolete but your total compensation package will include the phrase "unlimited toilet paper"
Apparently, Ghislaine Maxwell is living it up in prison with unlimited toilet paper. Here’s what we know about her alleged special privileges at her new federal prison camp in Texas.

What we know about the special privileges Epstein’s accomplice is reportedly receiving at her new federal prison camp in Texas.

...dawg they're talking about the president of the united states and whether or not he can successfully spin the allegations that he's a pedo like it's college gameday what the fuck is wrong with america
Enten: "Trump is 39 below water on the Epstein case. 39 points in the negative! My goodness gracious. What Trump has been selling on the Epstein files, the Epstein case, the American people have not been buying at all ... less than half of Republicans are buying it. This is his worst issue by far"

"The place that signs my checks? Uh yeah, I think I'm a *little* more informed about whether it's a corrupt institution than some ~rando~"
"I'm a rando who prefers to believe that everything is a conspiracy and am happy to tell women that I know better than she does how their literal job works" That a news org makes an editorial decision you wouldn't (or I wouldn't) doesn't mean someone is killing a story on behalf of a powerful person
"I write for the New York Times, and I can assure you that we've never buried stories on behalf of powerful people, many of those powerful people being part of NYT management. We only publish what's fit to print, like Zohran's application to Columbia that was leaked by a white nationalist"

Schumer knew it was his last chance to fold before his opponent was outed as a member of an especially dumb ring of pedophiles.

"skin as part of brain?"

This is that great intellect people talk about?

Replaying Hades a bit and it's remarkable how this theme makes every bit of progress enjoyable in a way that doesn't happen in the sequel.
Hades 2 story-wise doesn't have anything near Hades' strong theme of "hell is separation from other people" which is core to the main quest, the side quests, the main character's struggles and charm, and gameplay loop of reading reams of dialog. Lacking that theme makes 2 incoherent.

Rape is the distillation of the far-right worldview that Trump embodies: a gleefully sadistic act of domination carried out as fulfillment of a supposedly natural hierarchy. It would be weird if Trump wasn’t a rapist, given his ideological commitments—which is before you get to all the accusations.
i mean c’mon. the president’s best friend was the most notorious pedo in the country’s history who ran a massive child trafficking ring. every bit of circumstantial evidence we have says that trump was a participant. if this were a criminal trial we’d have enough evidence to compel a plea deal.

This is sort of how I feel about my son.
Nick Nurse with a hell of a quote on Justin Edwards:

“I love him. I don’t worry about him. He works extremely hard… He’s not perfect, but he’s a really good, developing young player that I love. When he has a bad game, it doesn’t even phase me, because I love him.”

Hades 2 ending is bad in a way that makes me uninterested in tying up remaining loose ends. But it's bad in the way that was immediately obvious, since the bigger badder sequel concept makes it tough to imagine a satisfying conclusion that allows the gameplay to continue.

I used to compile monthly department activity reports and one time I asked the exec assistant I emailed it to "who reads these?" and she said she just files them in case someone wants to read them but it's never happened.
the ideal task for it is: something that takes more work than it's worth and doesn't need to be perfectly right, but is important enough and enough work that it justifies dicking around with an agent that will get it mostly right some of the time... which is what exactly?

When we were on Twitter the line was “Twitter isn’t real life” and now that Twitter is deliberately stirring up bigotry it’s “Bluesky is a bubble you have to be on Twitter” and I think that is a pretty clear statement of value.
Vital piece of investigative reporting from Sky. They've uncovered the X algorithm which feeds users extremist right wing material from the moment they join the site. It is a far-right radicalisation engine, by design.
