Hades 2 has a ton of great, well-executed ideas and should be commended, it's just a shame the team chose a story that doesn't play to their strengths or suit the gameplay customs it inherited.

The writing and voicework are extremely good in Hades 2, it's just that it's like if a quirky comedic drama had an action movie sequel. 2's core idea is "what if a bad guy fucked everything up" so all the dialog is just "bad guy is really bad" "how can we stop bad guy", boring stuff.
