The amount of shit I got for this segment at the time was astronomical, and it was all from people who now stalk CVS employees to get them fired for insufficient online sadness.

Cheering on political violence is both evil and not new, an outgrowth of an internet intentionally dismantled years ago.

The events of last week are rather revealing about how far down the rabbit hole of far-right media all of our political and media elites already were. Quite bipartisan too.

For years, John Deere has been ripping off our farmers by blocking them from fixing their own equipment and jacking up prices on repairs.

The FTC is right to hold Deere accountable.

Agriculture equipment giant Deere must face a lawsuit by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission accusing the company of forcing farmers to use its authorized dealer network and driving up their costs for parts and repairs, a U.S. judge has ruled.

.0018% odds that a Social Security claim is “likely fraudulent.” We literally have a better chance of getting hit by an asteroid.

So why are Republicans letting Trump, Musk, and DOGE destroy Social Security over it?
SCOOP: Since SSA installed new anti-fraud checks on claims made over the phone, only 2 claims out of over 110,000 were found to likely be fraudulent, according to internal documents I obtained.

The policy has slowed down payments, though. Retirement claim processing is down 25%

Can any of you pro gen-A.I. people start to understand why I'm so unapologetically against it, now? Even *you* have got to understand this is a terrible idea. The current state of A.I. isn't anywhere *close* to adequately doing ANY of these jobs, and it's going to put the people who can out of work.

for most people, especially white people, the immediate instinctive reaction to clear evidence of systemic racism is to find a reason for it to not be true, and, since this is an instinctive retreat into complacency, the reason can be complacent, too—as complacent as "oh I just don't believe that"
One of the more frustrating things about the way many think about racism is that unless someone uses slurs, mainstream outlets and some academics give the benefit of the doubt.

You can resegregate schools, lie and claim that it’s about “markets” or “choice,” and get invites in polite society.

But most importantly, as other places debased themselves, we refused to bend the knee.

The human population is growing. Rapidly, in fact. It's projected to keep growing for decades and decades, until at least the year 2100. Then it will decline slightly, per experts, but to a level still well beyond today. What Musk means here but refuses to say is that _white_ fertility is declining.

Part of the reason inflation hit the U.S. in the wake of COVID was because the supply chain was interrupted.

This is going to raise prices for working class people.

This is why these blanket tariffs were a bad move.
